I can't remember if the bug was in Ingres 6.2 or 6.3, but when you did an
optimizedb with the "-zc" flag, it did NOT optimize the ii_objects catalog.

This may have been overkill, but I ran the following:

optimizedb -zk -uDBA DBNAME -rii_objects -rii_abfobjects -rii_abfdependencies

I also ran a sysmod on the database to clear out the deleted ii_encodings 
and ii_rcommands pages.

This helped us A LOT.
