No, alas.  Session temp tables are not recorded in the system catalogs,
and that's where all the view definition stuff has to go.  I guess
the server doesn't know how to store all the view definition stuff
in memory without updating the system catalogs.  You can't define
views or rules on a session temp table, and you can't reference
it in a db procedure (at least not directly;  you CAN pass it as
a "SET" parameter in Ingres II).
